Adventure junkies alert! If you’re looking for a challenging outdoor recreational activity this summer, TrollAktiv’s aerial adventure would be perfect for you. From suspended bridges and aerial obstacles to zipline courses between tall treetops, there is so much you can experience here. Rope courses help in improving balance, boosting confidence levels, and overcoming fear. So, head to Evje High Ropes Park, push your limits, and challenge yourself by trying out the incredible climbing routes! The park is an hour’s drive from Arendal and Kristiansand, about 5 kilometres north of Evje. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a certified instructor who will prep you up before you head to the park. As the tour organizer strictly adheres to the latest safety practices and guidelines, you will be given a safety briefing and top-quality equipment for your adventure. You will be shown how each piece of equipment is attached so that you will be fastened to the wires throughout your climb. Once the briefing is complete, the group will head out to the training route, which is deliberately placed low to the ground, unlike the routes in the park. Make use of your time here to test the equipment handed out to you and learn some tips and tricks to balance yourself on different elements. Your instructor will also teach you how to abseil and to build anchors. Once you’re ready, you can be assured of an amazing time on the climbing courses! There are a total of 5 courses with 10 to 12 elements and 1 to 5 ziplines. Each one has different levels of difficulty, so if you’ve never done this before, you can try an easy course and move to a more demanding one later. The ratio of children and adults for each trip will be 4:1 to ensure maximum safety. Sense the adrenaline rush, enjoy the views from above, and experience that sense of accomplishment after you complete the challenge. Maintain a pace you’re comfortable with and don’t rush at the beginning, you’ll need some energy saved up for the more demanding obstacles towards the end! If you have acrophobia, worry not. All measures are taken to ensure that each participant is safe. Many guests participate in this activity to conquer their fear of heights too! To make sure all rope courses are functioning properly, the park undergoes annual inspections by ERCA inspectors and the Norwegian Railway Inspectorate. The instructors are all certified professionals and have taken valid First Aid courses for the well-being of guests.
Wear comfortable clothing and good sneakers for the activity. Sandals will not be permitted. If you have long hair, you need to either tail or braid your hair. You can have food and drinks from the kiosk within the park premises. There is also an onsite restaurant that will be open only during peak seasons.
