Full description

Explore all the best things Norway has to offer- from the art world and the country’s war history to the scenic beauty of nature on this exciting tour by Viking Biking. This tour takes you around the city, giving you the best experience possible while you’re in Oslo. Meet up with your guide for the day at the Oslo central station and set off on a short yet delightful tram ride uphill to the start-point of the nature walk. There begins the art tour where you visit the famous Ekeberg sculpture park. You can experience the best of art and nature simultaneously in this unique location. The sculptures are focused on the strength of women and the roles they play, interspersed with the lush green of nature. The thick forest situated above the fjord makes the trip all the more memorable. As the tour progresses, you will get to visit a stunning location that is often overlooked by tourists but has great significance and gorgeous vistas. It is the exact spot where Edvard Munch began painting one of his most iconic works, ‘The Scream’ more than a century ago! On the way, you will also learn some history about the Second World War and the role Norway played in it. You will also explore Oslo’s old town ‘Gamlebyen’ before taking a quick coffee break at one of the city’s most splendid art-deco restaurants. The tour is very easily accessible for most people, with minimal uphill walking and only a 5-minute steep descent towards the end of the nature walk. The whole walk is approximately 7 kilometres long.

Extras

Please note that the tram ride tickets are not included. You will either need an Oslo pass or purchase a public transport ticket.
