For decades, Lofoten has been one of the central attractions in Norway, thanks to its sandy beaches, towering mountains, and picture-perfect landscapes. Photography and sightseeing enthusiasts flock to this part of the country, especially during winters when the region blooms with stunning sceneries at every corner. Capture the captivating beauty of this majestic archipelago in a winter photography tour by Lofoten Lights. The trip covers some of the most idyllic sites of the islands, including the scenic village Reine.
The tour begins at 9:30 am when the organisers will pick you up from the hotel at Svolvær in a comfortable minivan. Your guide for the day, who is also a professional photographer, will offer some handy advice on landscape photography during the trip. The agenda includes hidden corners and mesmerising panoramas, so make sure to pack a good-quality camera or smartphone. It is also recommended to bring snacks to munch on during the 8-hour drive.
Once all participants have been picked up, you will embark on a memorable journey across the Lofoten islands. The minivan will first head to Ramberg in Nordland county, where breathtaking landscapes await in all glory. After spending a few moments in this Arctic Copacabana, the trip will continue to Flakstad, a small island with postcard-worthy mountain ranges. Hamnøy is the next pit stop on the itinerary, where adorable red cabins and lofty mountains occupy much of the scene.
The next stop is Reine, a small yet irresistibly attractive fishing village and the tour’s highlight. Bask in the enticing views of the fjord, waterfronts, mountains, and fishing scenes of the town while capturing them all in pictures with the help of your guide. After spending a good 30 minutes here, participants can either continue the trip to Å, the tip-most village of Lofoten, or get dropped back at their accommodation.
This private excursion accommodates up to eight participants in a single trip. It is suitable for people of all ages, including children, but you’re requested to contact the organisers in advance if you plan to enrol children below 11 years.
